Privacy Policy

Uygen ("Uygen", "we", "us") runs uygen.com and the Shopify SEO + GEO service. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit this site or engage us, how we use it, and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, email hi@uygen.com.

Information we collect

We collect information in three ways:

• Information you give us directly. When you book through our Tally.so booking form or email us, you provide details such as your name, email address, store name, Shopify store URL, and any context you share about your business.
• Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use uygen.com — pages viewed, referring site, approximate location (city/country level), device and browser type. This is aggregated usage data, not tied to your name unless you've also submitted a form.
• Store data. If you engage Uygen, we access your Shopify store's public-facing content and, where you grant access, admin/theme-editor areas needed to review and apply SEO fixes — plus how AI systems (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini) respond to prompts about your store and products. We only access what's needed to deliver the service, and only with your permission.

How we use this information

• To respond to inquiries and deliver the service you've booked
• To send monthly audit findings, fix summaries, articles, and related follow-up communication
• To understand site usage and improve uygen.com's content and structure
• To meet legal or accounting obligations (e.g. invoicing)

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it to train AI models.

Third-party services

We rely on a small number of third-party services to run this site and deliver the service:

• Google Analytics — site usage analytics. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• Tally.so — processes the booking form. See Tally's Privacy Policy.
• Email — correspondence sent to hi@uygen.com is handled through standard email infrastructure.

These providers process data under their own privacy policies. We only share what's necessary for them to perform their function — we don't sell or rent your data to anyone else.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish visitors and measure site usage. You can block or delete these cookies through your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Blocking cookies won't affect your ability to read the site or book a call.

Data retention

We keep client and correspondence data for as long as needed to deliver the service, respond to follow-up questions, and meet accounting or legal obligations, then delete or anonymize it. Aggregated analytics data is retained per Google Analytics' standard retention settings.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you at any time by emailing hi@uygen.com. We'll respond within a reasonable time.

Children's privacy

uygen.com and the Shopify SEO + GEO service are intended for businesses and professionals. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
